Reiki is a wonderful, non-invasive natural health therapy that treats the whole ~ body, mind, emotion and spirit. Benefits include:

How is Reiki Performed?
The client remains fully dressed and lies on their back on the massage table. A Reiki practitioner applies the laying on of hands either on or above different areas of the body. Unlike massage, Reiki does not involve tissue manipulation. The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel through which energy is transferred to the client where the client's body needs it most. In longer treatments, the client turns over, and receives Reiki when lying on their front as well.

What Will I Feel?
Many clients feel an immediate difference in their level of relaxation. You may experience a tingling sensation in the area of your body where Reiki is being performed, or feel something in your body shift or become hot or cold ~ whether that area is being worked on or not. When the body is having a big release, it is not uncommon to spontaneously laugh, cry...or even fall asleep.

History of Reiki
Reiki is pronounced, ray-key. It is a Japanese word that translates to mean universal life force energy. Reiki is said to have originated in ancient Tibet thousands of years ago, and was rediscovered in the mid-1800s by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan. The healing powers and methods of Reiki were once a well-guarded secret. Today, the awareness and practice of this alternative healing method is spreading across the globe.
